Silver Star Book Jacket & End Paper

We were tasked with redesigning a book cover or creating a book cover to something that has never had a book. We were to design the cover and book ends using design techniques like illustration and typography. I decided to create my own story called Silver Star, where the whole plot is to steal the most ridiculous thing before the other person does. I created the cover for the 1st issue showcasing illustrative and typographic skills in the creation of this project. You may notice that the cover seems to be “on the wrong side”. Well that in not the case, as this story is supposed to be a manga, Japanese comic, where they read from our traditional back to front of the book.
